Village Pubs

Picture the perfect village pub. For many, that’s the quintessential chocolate box one or the traditional tavern nestled in stunning countryside. But what is it that makes village pubs with rooms so special?

At the heart of their community village pubs are a part of the fabric of life in the UK, where you’ll find locals playing dominoes, telling stories to visitors over a pint, and provincial magazines spread out on tables, encouraging you to find out about the area. But, you’ll also find newly refurbished plush dining rooms in which to enjoy a deliciously refined gourmet meal, an extensive range of local ales and ciders, and seriously stylish rooms in which to crash out at the end of a delightful, warm-hearted evening. Yes, these pretty pubs are making the most of their individual charm and character.

Stylish Pubs with Rooms

And luckily for us, the village pub is eager to welcome, please and entertain its visitors. With many of these establishments bought back from their former glory, they’ve been transformed into stylish pubs with rooms. Rustic chic furnishings, hefty beamed bars, romantic baths and inviting squashy sofas now exist under thatched pub roofs and inside traditional stone buildings. You may even find you’d like to stay in one of the beautifully converted out-houses of a romantic pub for your perfect escape.

Many believe a village isn’t a village without a pub, and it’s there you’ll get a real sense of the area’s character. The atmosphere’s friendly and intimate, and the owners will go out of their way to make sure your visit is on-point. They’ll also point you in the right direction for a wonderful rural amble around the hills, and tell you where to find those hidden stepping stones over a babbling brook. And, of course, no trip to a village is complete without a visit to the local shops.

Returning to a homemade lemonade for the kids and a refreshing tipple of your choice is as good as it gets, preceding a mouthwatering kitchen garden supper. Behind those traditional Tudor facades and ancient stone buildings with their hanging baskets, village pubs have been given a facelift and triumphed in more ways than one. Ticking every box – they are delivering carefully crafted and selected beverages, stunning food and chic rooms to stay in, while keeping their charm, heart and soul. Basically, they tick every box. What are you waiting for…
