Taking pride of place on the Chatsworth Estate, The Devonshire Arms at Pilsley is packed to the rafters with 18^th century charm. Staying true to its rich past, this loveable village inn is one of the Peak District’s favourite pubs with rooms.

Bare stone walls, wooden floors and roaring log burners will melt your heart and warm your toes after a brisk walk in the Derbyshire countryside. And, of course, this cosy pub wouldn’t be complete without hearty, homecooked food and cask ales on tap. Dig into maple glazed belly of pork, a succulent burger dripping with melted cheese or good old fish and chips, all cooked to perfection.

We highly recommend staying for Sunday lunch if you visit at the weekend. Plates are piled high with traditional and locally reared meats, the freshest of vegetables and crispy Yorkshire puddings. We can’t think of a more perfect way to spend a weekend than among the beautiful countryside, with drinks by the fire, fabulous company and a good serving of comfort food.
