The Old Coffee Tavern, Warwick, Warwickshire

16 The Old Square Warwick, CV34 4RA, 01926 679737, Visit Website

Taking pride of place in the Old Square, The Old Coffee Tavern, a 19th century pub with rooms, stands among historic buildings and is just a stroll from the collegiate Church of St Mary.

As you step inside The Old Coffee Tavern, you are drawn into its contagious charm. There’s a timeless elegance here that simply can’t be replicated. Inside the Victorian façade you’ll find the restaurant – a characterful space where dark wood floors mingle effortlessly with exposed brickwork and red leather.

The tavern also keeps a little secret – to the rear you’ll find an outdoor terrace area with seating, a perfect hideaway for those sunny al fresco moments.

Once a coffee house dating back to 1880, the tavern now serves a wide selection of alcoholic drinks, including cask ales, cocktails, wine and spirits. The Robata Grill has earned the tavern its status of being one of the best gastro pubs in Warwick and draws food lovers here with its tantalising menu of traditional and seasonal dishes.

Bedrooms have been transformed into cosy, boutique spaces that blend original fireplaces, antique furniture and sash windows with contemporary design and facilities.
