Cosy Pubs with Rooms

cosy pubs with rooms

Sink into an inviting leather armchair next to a roaring open fire, tipple in hand, and…relax, because there’s no better place to spend an afternoon than in one of our intimate, cosy pubs with rooms.

There’s something special about settling down for a pint of bitter or warming glass of red, especially once the chilly nights draw in. Dark wood panelled bars, flagstone floors, squashy sofas and intimate corners in which to chat over a pint, are softly illuminated by low lighting, candles and ornate wood burners.

Spend a lazy afternoon playing traditional board games, lose yourself in a good book, or get ready for a chat over a local craft ale at one of these friendly pubs. By the evening you’ll be more than ready for a hearty meal either in the main pub – dog at your feet, or the plush dining area for a more refined experience. Think traditional menus but with a twist: maybe Beef and Guinness, or mint and jalapeno sausages, with red onion and ale gravy. Although you’re just as likely to come across a locally sourced Cumberland sausage.

Pubs with Log Fires

Once you’ve eaten, take a little nightcap to an inglenook at one of our delightful pubs with log fires, before taking the short journey to your ensuite room for some serious slumber. Yes, the rooms are just as cosy as the bar is. Warm colours, wooden beams, wrought iron beds with luxurious bed linen and beautiful baths are just a few of the features you might expect.

If you’re spending the weekend at one of our cosy country pubs, don’t miss Sunday; your chance to get lost amongst a pile of newspapers, before a long walk and traditional Sunday lunch. Leave your wellies in front of the crackling fire and you may even be treated to an afternoon of jazz or folk music.

Of course, rustic pubs with log fires are the perfect winter warmer, but they are just as inviting through the summer. The ideal place to relax – sip your Pimms while enjoying the latest ‘summer read’ or snuggle up in a cool, shady corner for a light lunch. Really there’s few places so seductive to pass the time.

The UK isn’t short of wonderful places to stay, and our selection of cosy pubs with rooms is certainly amongst the very best. So, get comfortable, relax, and take a look. You’ll be glad you did…
